Feature: Albert's 2014 list

2014 has been a hell of a year, for releases and my backlog struggle.  Lots of skepticism plagued the internet about whether or not the Vita would receive notable releases and it did, thanks to 3rd party publishers.  The 3DS no doubt, also was home to some amazing titles, as a handheld gamer, 2014 is hands down one of the best years in a while.  It’s also been a year or so since I’ve started writing for Otaku Gamers UK, I’m an amateur but I have always wanted to write and express my opinions on what I play and on what I love.  I feel like I’ve grown as a writer over the past year and I would love to thank Andi and Geoff, for giving me this wonderful opportunity.

Feature: JD's 2014 List

I'll freely admit I've not played as many games as I would've liked in 2014. This is partly due to apathy on my part with certain franchises (looking at you Assassins Creed) and also holding off on getting certain games until I have a new PC or a PS4 at some point in 2015. Games that may possibly have made my list had I played them would include Transistor, Dragon Age: Inquisition and Alien: Isolation. But nonetheless, I did play a few gems this year, and so without further hubbub, allow me to present my top games from 2014.

Feature: Jay's 2014 list

Hey guy's its Jay here it’s that time of year where we look back at the games we have seen come to our shelf’s, racks, and storage boxes this last year and pick out the ones that are so good they take pride of place in our display, at least until next year when something better comes along or you have ended up with too many display units, sadly sometimes it is inevitable and the rotations begin

So this year has been a good year for gamers as such it proved a little more difficult than I would have liked to compile my list otherwise I'd basically be giving you a list of everything I'd brought this year, but I finally managed to limit it to 4 including my choice for GOTY and 3 very highly placed runner up's.

Happy New Year Folks
2014 is over and the best way t had to celebrate is to take a look back on what the year had to offer,
Honestly, this year has been a little strange one for me as gaming has not grabbed me as much as previous years.  This is due to me personally having a very busy year.  Heck, I got married!  Due to this I have been rather picky with what I have played and if I was to choose my best game of the year by the number of hours played, Minecraft would take the title - I have put an unhealthy amount of time into that game!

Feature: Vincent's 2014 List

2014 has been a big year for gaming, not one of its biggest but it is certainly the one with the biggest ups and downs in recent memory. Scandal, broken releases, the prevalence of DLC culture and the constant threat of rising game costs. But scratch the surface slightly and what we end up with is a strong line up for both AAA and Indie titles, and really isn't that just all what we want at the end of the year regardless of the negative?

2014 has been a massive year, not just for gaming but for us all here at Otaku Gamers Uk, we have a healthy amount of traffic coming onto the site, a fully committed and brilliant team, our own domain and slowly building up relationships with publishers to bring you best content we can.

We have so much more to do in 2015 and I personally cannot wait to see how much the site will change in the new year!. Enough about that though here is my highlights for 2014!.
