News: E3 Day 0 Round Up

Well Day 0 is officially over and what a long day yesterday was but it was worth it.  We were treated to four press conferences showing off what developers have in store for us over the next 12 months.
There were a lot of heavy hitting main stream games announced from all sides including the rumoured Master Chief Collection on the Xbox One, a Rainbow Six Reboot and a release window for Uncharted 4 (which looks fantastic).
The only conference to show off some niche titles was the Sony one.  This is no surprise as they are really pushing new experiences on their consoles.

No Man's Sky

Now this is a title which every one should keep on their radar.  The trailer shown off was fantastic to say the least.  The unique feature about this game is that ever player will start on a different planet and each player will experience the game in a different way than another.  Even the studio developing it says that they do not know what you will find next. It is amazing what a small indie studio can create, epically when they have been hit by tragedy in the past year.

Abzu

Giant Squid is a new company set up by former art director of thatgamecompany and you can see that same vision in their new title, Abzu.  Ab means Water and Zu is Knowledge, so expect grand adventures in the deepest of oceans.  An interesting title and with being a fan of thatgamecompany's past titles, this is one I will be keeping on my radar too.

Let It Die

Suda 51 is back with a PS4 exclusive!  Not a lot to say about this one as the trailer does not give much away other than it looks absolutely insane!

Devolver Digital

Sony has joined forces with Devolver Digital to bring some hot Indie titles to the Playstation Platforms.
  • Broforce (Free Lives, PS4 and PS Vita) – Early 2015
  • Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number (Dennaton Games, PS4, PS3, and PS Vita) – 2014
  • Not A Hero (Roll7, PS4 and PS Vita) – Early 2015
  • Shadow Warrior (Flying Wild Hog, PS4) – 2014
  • The Talos Principle (Croteam, PS4) – Fall 2014
  • Titan Souls (Acid Nerve, PS4 and PS Vita) – Early 2015
Some of these titles show a lot of promise and I look forward to getting my hands on these.

Bloodborne

Finally, the heavily rumoured PS4 Exclusive From Software "Project Beast" has been officially announced as Bloodborne.  It is action RPG due out in 2015 with Demon Souls director, Hidetaka Miyazaki at the helm.  It looks like one heck of a game

And as a bonus, Tim Schafer made an appearance to help announce that Grim Fandango is being remastered for the PS4 and PSVita.

It was a very exciting day but I am running on fumes at the moment - time to rest up for the Nintendo Digital Event which is due at 5pm GMT.
